We chose it because: it thinks at mobility and raises awareness on the use of the city in a eco-friendly way; it chooses food and drinks it sells with care, it pays attention to current issues, and it is located in a recovered space made accessible to citizens and bikes: amazing!

The Velostazione is a brainchild of Salvaiciclisti-Bologna association.

The idea of a place that combines services to bikers, sociality, culture and communication comes from the need of a guarded parking for bikes. The Municipality of Bologna selected the project through Incredibol call for tender and made the spaces underneath the Pincio’s stairs available to the Velostazione, and that is how Dynamo – la Velostazione of Bologna was born in 2015.

Out of respect of the spirit under which the cooperative that run the place was established, Dynamo – La Velostazione continually proposes events and activities for the citizens that, in addition to inform on issues related to sustainable mobility, create a culture of hospitality and sociality, with such examples as the ethical purchasing group L’Alveare, the coworking spaces and courses, shows and meetings on wellness and respecting differences. Lastly the bar pays attention to origin of its beverages and, as mutually agreed with La Svolta, it offers quality snacks and meals.
